Supplemental appropriation of $1.2 million for Community College Opportunity Grant.

The bill provides a supplemental appropriation of $1.2 million for the Community College Opportunity Grant program. This program offers grants to eligible students to cover the remaining cost of tuition and approved educational fees, not covered by other grants or scholarships, for up to 18 credits per semester. Eligible students must be enrolled in at least six credits, not have a prior college degree, and complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid or New Jersey Alternative Financial Aid Application. The grants are based on academic progress standards and household income.
