New Jersey A2319 modifies inspection requirements for motor vehicle sales records.

New Jersey A2319 amends the inspection requirements for records of motor vehicle sales. It allows licensees to keep non-physical, electronic records of online sales in a format that allows for inspection and examination by the Chief Administrator of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission. The bill also mandates that the Chief Administrator or a designee must provide one business day's written notice before entering a building to examine books and records. This change removes the previous requirement for immediate inspection and examination of electronic records.
