New Jersey A2277 provides increased flexibility in school district enrollment for military-connected students. The bill defines "military-connected student" as a student enrolled in a public school in the State who is a dependent of a member of the armed forces, National Guard, reserve component, retirees, a member who perished on active duty, a member of the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, a civilian employee of the Department of Defense, or a school employee in a district with significant federal impact aid due to proximity to a military.
