A2274

Allows military member to qualify for resident tuition rate at county college.

Introduced·1/13/26
Introduced Text

Military members and their dependents in New Jersey can qualify for resident tuition at county colleges.

This bill allows United States military personnel and their dependents living in New Jersey to qualify for the county resident tuition rate at county colleges. Currently, many military members and their dependents maintain out-of-county or out-of-State addresses, preventing them from qualifying for the lower resident tuition rate. This change ensures that military personnel and their dependents receive a similar in-county tuition benefit. The act will take effect immediately and apply to the academic year following its enactment.
