New Jersey A2268 requires state entities to assess providers of substance or alcohol use disorder treatment for conflicts of interest before they can receive state funds, licensure, or certification. The assessment includes reviewing financial statements, board members, stakeholders, staff members, and outside employment. If a conflict is found, the provider must remedy it within 90 days. After remedying the conflict, the provider will be reassessed twice in the next year, once in the second year, and once in the third year.
