Establishes timeframe for adoption of, and requires public comment on, proposed annual economic benefits for certain solid waste facilities.

New Jersey A2263 establishes a specific timeframe for negotiations on annual economic benefits for municipalities with sanitary landfill facilities or transfer stations. It mandates that municipalities publish proposed benefits online for public comment before submitting them to the Department of Environmental Protection or the Board of Public Utilities for approval. The bill also allows residents to petition for establishing or adjusting these benefits. If negotiations exceed 180 days, an extension can be applied for, up to an additional 180 days.
