New Jersey A2180 requires the DCF and DOE to create policies and procedures for detecting and preventing child abuse and neglect during public health emergencies. The DOE and DCF must develop an online training program for school employees on detecting and preventing child abuse, especially during emergencies requiring remote learning or social distancing. The DOE must ensure school districts allow students and families to access the DCF's Family Helpline and similar hotlines remotely.
