New Jersey A2174 amends existing laws to include disability-owned businesses in the certification process managed by the Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services in the Department of the Treasury. The bill also incorporates disability-owned businesses into the requirement for the New Jersey Economic Development Authority to undertake direct loans to qualified businesses in urban centers. Additionally, the Chief Diversity Officer of the State is required to monitor the State's public contracting process for the awarding of contracts to disability-owned businesses.
