Introduced·1/9/24

Authorizes special license plates for honorably discharged veterans in New Jersey.

The bill establishes special license plates for honorably discharged veterans in New Jersey. It allows the Chief Administrator of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission to issue these plates upon application. The plates must bear the word "Veteran" and the branch of the military in which the veteran served. The bill also allows surviving spouses of deceased veterans to retain the special plates. The Chief Administrator must notify motorists of the opportunity to obtain these plates and promulgate rules and regulations governing their issuance and use.
