This bill expands the approved sites under the Behavioral Healthcare Provider Loan Redemption Program. It allows for-profit community providers of behavioral and mental health services to be considered approved sites, in addition to nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and governmental entities. Behavioral healthcare providers who contract with the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority to work at these approved sites can apply for student loan redemption.
