Stephanie's Law, named after a domestic violence victim, requires the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) to create and maintain a publicly-accessible domestic violence registry. This registry includes individuals convicted of domestic violence crimes, those with final restraining orders against them, or those found guilty of contempt of a restraining order. The registry contains personal information such as names, aliases, photographs, physical descriptions, vehicle details, and addresses. Law enforcement officers must search this registry during arrests.
