Establishes registry of out-of-state contractors who are awarded public works contracts in this State.

Chamber Passed·2/24/26

Establishes a public registry of out-of-state contractors awarded public works contracts in New Jersey.

This bill requires the State Treasurer to establish and maintain a public registry of out-of-state contractors awarded public works contracts in New Jersey. The registry will include descriptions of public works projects and the trade name, owner name, and principal business address of each out-of-state contractor. The State Treasurer would prominently display the registry on a website maintained by the Department of the Treasury and distribute copies upon request.
