Increases transparency and accountability for NJT and independence of NJT board members; establishes Office of Customer Advocate; requires greater.

The bill amends the New Jersey Transit Corporation's enabling statutes to enhance transparency, accountability, and the independence of its board members. It establishes the Office of Customer Advocate to provide information and independent analysis to the NJ Transit board of directors on the impact of board and NJ Transit actions on customers. The Office of Customer Advocate is also tasked with providing genuine customer input and feedback to the board, including relaying the needs and concerns of customers.
