Establishes "Electric Vehicle Battery Repurposing Fund" to support repurposing, remanufacturing, and recycling of electric vehicle batteries.

This bill establishes the "Electric Vehicle Battery Repurposing Fund" in the General Fund to support repurposing, remanufacturing, and recycling of electric vehicle batteries. The fund will receive $500 for each retail sale of an electric vehicle in the state during the prior fiscal year. The fund will be used to support repurposing, remanufacturing, and recycling of electric vehicle batteries in an environmentally sound manner. The fund will support repurposing applications such as for home energy projects, off the grid energy storage, and to power street lighting.
