Establishes expedited ejectment proceeding to remove unauthorized real property occupants.

This bill establishes an expedited ejectment proceeding to remove unauthorized occupants of real property. It requires the court to allow a hearing on the complaint within three business days of receiving a verified complaint. If the court determines the information certified by the owner or the owner’s agent is accurate, it must issue a writ of possession. An officer of the court then removes the unauthorized occupant. The bill also allows for treble damages for unlawful entry and detainer. The court can extend timeline requirements if necessary in the interest of justice.
