New Jersey A1905, also known as the Boosting Rates of American Veteran Employment (BRAVE) Act, authorizes the Department of Military and Veterans' Affairs (DMVA) to grant preference in awarding contracts to vendors who employ veterans. The Adjutant General may rely on vendor-submitted information but must verify it within 30 days. If a vendor knowingly misrepresents employee or veteran numbers, they are debarred from future contracts for five years and the current contract may be terminated.
