Clarifies child support obligation notice and certification requirements for applicants for State licenses.
This bill amends existing law to clarify the child support obligation notice and certification requirements for applicants of State licenses. It mandates that applicants certify on a separate form, promulgated by the Administrative Office of the Courts, that they do not have a child support obligation or, if they do, that the arrearage does not exceed six months of child support payable. The form will also provide notice of the legal basis for enforcement of child support obligations through the licensing process, including notice and hearing requirements prior to suspension or revocation.
