New Jersey A1836 mandates green building standards and impact studies for affordable housing developments.

New Jersey A1836 requires affordable housing developments with 10 or more units or four or more floors to meet LEED silver standards or equivalent green building standards. Developers must submit reports on carbon, traffic, storm water, and school impact studies to the municipality. The Commissioner of Community Affairs must adopt rules and regulations to implement these provisions.
