New Jersey A1830 revises provisions of State law concerning the licensure of ambulatory care facilities. The bill removes language that restricted the issuance of new licenses to ambulatory care facilities proposing relocation unless the relocation was within 20 miles of the facility’s current location or to a "Health Enterprise Zone." It also exempts surgical practices certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services from certain physical plant and functional requirements.
