New Jersey A1788 requires the Department of Human Services to establish a two-year Regional Community Behavioral Health Pilot Program. The program will be funded through the Medicaid program using a value-based payment system. The Department of Human Services must issue a request for proposals and select managed care organizations to administer the pilot program in the northern, central, and southern regions of the state. The managed care organizations will contract with community behavioral health providers to perform behavioral health needs assessments for eligible patients.
