New Jersey A1620 allows DEP to lift conservation restrictions on certain property for school expansion.
New Jersey A1620 directs the Department of Environmental Protection to lift conservation restrictions imposed as a condition of a Coastal Area Facility Review Act permit under specific conditions. The bill permits the lifting of such restrictions if the property is needed for the physical expansion of an existing school for special needs children and if a new, substantively similar conservation restriction is imposed on another parcel of real property at least twice the size and located no more than 20 miles from the original property.
