New Jersey A1619 mandates hospitals and birthing centers to provide parents of newborns with a video on infant and young child drowning dangers.

New Jersey A1619 requires hospitals offering inpatient maternity services and licensed birthing centers to give parents of newborns the chance to watch an approved video about the risks of drowning for infants and young children. The Department of Health will maintain a list of these approved videos with links on its website. This act will take effect 120 days after its enactment.
