Introduced Text

New Jersey A1521 allows eligible organizations to conduct raffles at large entertainment venues in certain municipalities.

New Jersey A1521 amends the "Raffles Licensing Law" to expand the types of venues eligible to host raffles for eligible organizations. Currently, only large sporting venues are eligible. This bill extends eligibility to large entertainment venues, defined as shopping plazas, centers, malls, or similar venues with at least 1.5 million square feet and 750,000 square feet operated as entertainment facilities. Raffles can be conducted in person or remotely using the Internet or other electronic means, subject to approval from the venue and the Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission.
