Expands Traumatic Brain Injury Fund to cover transportation costs for support group meetings.

This bill expands the purpose of the Traumatic Brain Injury Fund to support transportation costs incurred by eligible individuals in accessing support group meetings. Support group meetings are gatherings of individuals with traumatic brain injuries to obtain information, perspective, and improve their general well-being. The fund, which currently provides payment for post-acute care and services, will now also cover transportation costs for these meetings. Expenditures are capped at $100,000 per person, with a $15,000 limit per 12-month period, though waivers are possible.
