Lyme Screening Act mandates Lyme disease screening for children during well-child visits and symptom-related visits.

The Lyme Screening Act requires health care providers to administer a standardized Lyme screening checklist during well-child visits and symptom-related visits for specific symptoms occurring between April 1 and October 31. The checklist assesses for recent tick exposure and symptoms such as fatigue, joint pain, fever, rash, or headaches. The Department of Health, in coordination with appropriate State agencies, is to develop this checklist.
