New Jersey A1378 allows individuals to obtain a manicurist license through an apprenticeship program.

New Jersey A1378 provides an alternative pathway for individuals to become licensed manicurists. Instead of traditional schooling, applicants can fulfill the requirements through a manicuring apprenticeship program. This apprenticeship must be registered with or approved by the United States Department of Labor or a similar program accredited by a recognized agency. Additionally, applicants must pass the manicuring examination. The bill amends existing laws to include this apprenticeship option for manicurist licensure.
