It allows individuals to anonymously and voluntarily surrender firearms, ammunition, or weapons to the Office of the Attorney General or a county prosecutor’s office. Gun buyback programs that accept firearms must also accept ammunition. These programs can grant an award in exchange for surrendered firearms or weapons.
