Introduced Text

New Jersey A1373 allows voters to apply for mail-in ballots electronically through a Secretary of State website up to seven days before an election.

New Jersey A1373 amends existing law to allow voters to submit applications for mail-in ballots electronically through a website maintained by the Secretary of State up to seven days before an election. The electronic application must contain the same information as a paper application. Voters who previously opted to receive mail-in ballots for all future elections can opt-out by submitting a new application without selecting the future mail-in ballot option.
