New Jersey A1366 prohibits unfair discrimination in life insurance policies based on transgender status or gender identity information.

New Jersey A1366 amends the state's insurance laws to prohibit unfair discrimination in the issuance, extension, or renewal of life insurance policies or in the fixing of rates, terms, or conditions based on an individual's transgender status, including a diagnosis of gender dysphoria and related medical treatments. The bill also prohibits discrimination based on any apparent incongruence between an individual's gender identity and the gender designated in their insurance application or records.
