Introduced Text

New Jersey A1330 requires institutions of higher education with over 2,000 students to make annual payments to their host municipalities.

New Jersey A1330 mandates that institutions of higher education with enrollments exceeding 2,000 full-time equivalent students must make annual community service contributions to their host municipalities. These contributions are calculated based on a per-student rate, the number of full-time equivalent students, and their enrollment status. Institutions can receive credits of up to 50% of the total contribution for certain community benefits provided to the municipality. Payments are due quarterly, and late payments accrue interest.
