Exempts local government entities from annual remediation fees for properties acquired under specific circumstances.

This bill exempts local government entities from annual remediation fees for properties acquired through bankruptcy, tax delinquency, abandonment, escheat, eminent domain, condemnation, or any involuntary acquisition by virtue of their sovereign function. It also exempts entities that acquire property for redevelopment purposes. The bill applies to fees imposed by the Department of Environmental Protection under the "Site Remediation Reform Act" and the "Brownfield and Contaminated Site Remediation Act.
