Exempts honorably discharged veterans from municipal parking meter fees when displaying a veteran's placard.

This bill amends existing law to exempt honorably discharged veterans from paying municipal parking meter fees when their vehicle displays a placard issued by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission. The exemption applies when the veteran is either the driver or a passenger in the vehicle and does not apply if the vehicle is parked for more than 24 hours at one location. The bill also includes provisions for the issuance of disabled veteran's, Purple Heart recipient's, and honorably discharged veteran's placards by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission.
