New Jersey A1228 authorizes municipalities that have petitioned for or received substantive certification of their affordable housing plans under the "Fair Housing Act" to make certain affordable housing units available on a preferential basis to eligible persons. Specifically, employees of corporate sponsors, family members of housing owners, and migrant workers of farm owners who meet income qualifications for low or moderate income units can have priority to purchase or rent these units.
