New Jersey A1202 revises the calculation of daily benefit rates for temporary disability and family temporary disability leave.

New Jersey A1202 amends the calculation of benefit rates under temporary disability and family temporary disability leave. It changes the daily benefit rate from one-seventh of the weekly benefit amount to the full weekly benefit amount, calculated as the worth of a day used for each day of disability. The bill specifies that individuals must have been totally unable to perform their employment duties for at least seven consecutive days before claiming partial benefits. The maximum duration of partial benefits is eight weeks, extendable to a maximum of 12 weeks with medical approval.
