New Jersey A1200 requires child care centers to establish procedures for notifying parents or guardians when a child is absent without excuse. This notification requirement is a condition for securing a new or renewal license or approval from the Department of Children and Families (DCF). The DCF is prohibited from issuing a license or approval until the center has established these notification procedures. Additionally, the DCF can deny, revoke, or refuse to renew a center's license or approval if the required procedures are not in place.
