New Jersey A118 allows nonpublic school students to participate in district high school interscholastic athletics.

New Jersey A118 requires school districts to permit nonpublic school students to try out for and participate in high school interscholastic athletics in their district of residence. To participate, the student must provide proof of residence and meet the same sports participation requirements as public school students, including physical exams, insurance, fees, age, and academic standards. The student must also adhere to the same behavioral and performance standards as other team members.
