This bill amends New Jersey law to permit the waiver of juvenile jurisdiction regardless of age under specific circumstances and makes juveniles eligible for waiver for terrorism and human trafficking. It allows the Juvenile Justice Commission to transfer juveniles to the Department of Corrections if they have not reached the age of 21. Juveniles aged 21 and older may continue serving sentences in juvenile facilities if they consent. The bill also expands the list of offenses for which juveniles can be waived to adult criminal court, including terrorism and human trafficking.
