New Jersey A1137 mandates insurance carriers to offer firearm liability insurance as an option for policyholders.

New Jersey A1137 requires insurers authorized to transact homeowners, renters, excess liability, or personal liability insurance to provide firearm liability insurance as an optional coverage. This coverage protects against legal liability for bodily injury, death, and property damage resulting from firearm use in public. The minimum coverage amounts are $100,000 for one person injured or killed, $300,000 for multiple persons injured or killed, and $25,000 for property damage, all exclusive of interest and costs.
