New Jersey A1128 requires boards of trustees of State colleges and universities and county colleges to include two college employees.

New Jersey A1128 amends the law to allow two college employees to serve on the boards of trustees of State colleges and universities and county colleges. These employees will be appointed by the Governor from a list of candidates recommended by labor organizations representing the employees. The employee members will have full voting rights but cannot participate in matters affecting the employment or terms of employment of other employees. The initial terms of these employee members will be staggered, with one serving a one-year term and the other a two-year term.
