The bill establishes the Advisory Committee on Family Services and Communications in the Division of Developmental Disabilities in the Department of Human Services. The committee will identify and work with division leadership to address inefficiencies, shortcomings, or other problems related to the division’s outreach, communications, and provision of services to family members and legal guardians of individuals with developmental disabilities. The committee will be composed of nine members, including division staff and six public members appointed by the Governor.
