This includes members of the New Jersey National Guard who have completed Initial Active Duty Training, active members of any branch or department of the Armed Forces, and veterans. The owner or operator of a kennel, shelter, or pound may review and adjust the pet adoption fee to offset any cost increases. The Secretary of Agriculture will prescribe the types of evidence needed to qualify for this benefit.
