Exempts experienced volunteer firefighters from certain requirements in New Jersey.
The bill exempts volunteer firefighters with five or more years of experience in fire suppression, firefighting, or fire rescue from being prohibited by their fire department from engaging in these activities solely on the basis of being uncertified or not meeting non-statutory requirements. This act applies to both part-paid and volunteer fire departments and takes effect immediately upon enactment.
