New Jersey A1055 amends the Division of State Police personnel regulations, allowing the superintendent to change or increase ranks and grades of troopers, detectives, first-line supervisors, mid-level managers, and executive-level personnel without Attorney General approval. However, changes to command staff positions holding the rank of major and lieutenant colonel still require Attorney General approval. All personnel changes must be within the division’s appropriations.
