This bill amends existing law to mandate that the Attorney General, the Executive Director of the Office of Public Integrity and Accountability, or a designee must notify the collective bargaining unit of each investigating or arresting law enforcement officer before releasing any information about the officer's identity or any mobile video recording system or body worn camera recordings related to an incident to the public. This requirement supersedes any previous directives, guidelines, or policies.
