New Jersey A1007 creates a special account in the Department of the Treasury to support the Statewide behavioral health crisis system of care. The bill imposes a monthly fee of $0.40 per line on New Jersey residents who subscribe to commercial mobile services or IP-enabled voice services. This fee is intended to fund the 9-8-8 Suicide Prevention and Behavioral Health Crisis Hotline Trust Fund Account, which will cover expenses related to the hotline and crisis services.
