Prohibiting receiving compensation for lobbying on behalf of a foreign adversary.

Chamber Passed·3/16/26

Prohibits lobbyists from receiving compensation for lobbying on behalf of foreign adversaries.

New Hampshire SB528 amends RSA 15 to prohibit lobbyists from receiving compensation for lobbying on behalf of foreign adversaries, including the People’s Republic of China, the Russian Federation, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, or the Republic of Cuba. This includes officials, political parties, and entities controlled by these adversaries. Violations result in disgorgement of compensation, civil penalties, and injunctive relief. The act also allows the attorney general to issue civil investigative demands and seek court assistance.
