SB510

Ensuring state-operated, publicly accessible spaces have designated smoking areas undetectable to visitors.

Chamber Passed·2/26/26

New Hampshire SB510 mandates designated smoking areas in publicly accessible state-operated spaces to prevent smoke detection in public areas.

New Hampshire SB510 amends the Indoor Smoking Act by requiring any publicly-owned or publicly-operated property accessible to the public to provide a designated smoking area if smoking is not entirely prohibited. The area must be constructed or maintained so that smoke is not detectable in any public or common area. This provision does not apply to publicly-owned property or areas under state control that are not accessible to the public. The act takes effect 60 days after its passage.
