SB489 changes the appointment process for the New Hampshire Board of Tax and Land Appeals.
SB489 amends RSA 71-B:2 to alter the appointment process for the Board of Tax and Land Appeals. Members will now be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the governor and council, instead of serving fixed terms. The governor and council will also appoint one member as chairman, who will serve for the duration of their term. The executive council must hold a hearing before confirmation, following procedures under RSA 4:44.
