New Hampshire SB466 amends RSA 159:13 to prohibit changing, altering, removing, or obliterating the name of the maker, model, manufacturer's number, or other mark of identification on any pistol, revolver, or other firearm. Possession of such firearms with altered or missing identification is presumptive evidence of the possessor having made such changes. Violation of this provision is a class A misdemeanor. The act takes effect on January 1, 2027.
