Establishes a pilot program for reliability indexing credits for energy storage resources in New Hampshire.
The bill creates a reliability indexing credit pilot program for up to 200 megawatts of energy storage in New Hampshire. The Department of Energy will develop recommended terms and conditions for the program, which will be completed by December 1, 2025. The state electric distribution utilities will then petition the Public Utilities Commission to implement the program with the recommended terms and conditions by February 1, 2026. Utilities can recover costs through an appropriate rate mechanism if the agreements are deemed just and reasonable and in the public interest.
